About Kristin
Kristin is the maker behind Kristin Roach Pottery, creating simple, thoughtful pieces near her home in Wisconsin. Her journey with clay began in high school pottery classes, where she first learned the magic of wheel throwing. Life eventually became busy with career, family, and raising two boys, and pottery quietly faded into the background for a time.
Years later, the pull of clay returned.
After taking a wheel throwing class at a local pottery studio, Kristin quickly rediscovered her love of the craft. Now a member of that studio community, she spends her time there creating whenever she can—stepping away from the pace of everyday life and settling into the quiet rhythm of the wheel. Pottery has become a place where time slows down.
Pottery is more than a hobby—it is a quiet space for creativity, reflection, and making something meaningful.
Artistic Philosophy
Kristin’s pottery reflects a minimalist approach—simple, beautiful forms meant to be held, used, and enjoyed in everyday life. She creates pieces that celebrate quiet moments: a morning cup of coffee, a candle glowing in the evening, or a favorite bowl used again and again.
Kristin often thinks of pottery like a lotus flower—something beautiful emerging from humble beginnings in earth and clay. That transformation is part of what continues to draw her back to the wheel.
Made by Hand. With Love. Always.
